Heather and Josh’s intimate wedding was held at the historical Club 300 in downtown Anoka. The grand lobby of the venue featured tall glass windows and a charming character. The reception was held in Nucky’s Speakeasy, a unique and intimate space located right below the ceremony area. The entire event was inspired by the prohibition era of the 1920s, and the atmosphere was nothing short of glamorous. The space was decorated with pearls and feathers, adding to the vintage feel of the celebration.
It’s worth mentioning that Heather and Josh’s decision to choose this theme was not a random one. In fact, they discovered the speakeasy during a date night and were both equally impressed with its charm and ambiance. Josh was so captivated by the venue’s allure that he made a spontaneous decision to put down a deposit that very night. Heather, on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised and thrilled by his decision, adding to her excitement for their special day.
Heather and Josh are such a beautiful couple with an amazing love story. They met during their high school days and fell head over heels for each other. Although they went their separate ways for a while, they were reunited 12 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They have two wonderful children, Kaylee and Parker, who are just as amazing as they are. Recently, they welcomed Kalen, their lovely daughter-in-law, into the family, and interestingly enough, Kalen officiated their beautiful wedding!
Meeting Heather and Josh through a mutual friend was a stroke of luck! I had the pleasure of taking their family portraits a few years ago, and our relationship has grown into a wonderful friendship since then. They affectionately call me their “forever photographer,” and it’s an absolute delight and privilege to work with them. I feel incredibly grateful to have captured some of their most treasured moments. Their wedding added so many new favorite portraits to my heart, all shared on this blog post!
