I had the joy of capturing Oliver’s third birthday party at the charming Como Park and Zoo picnic grounds. His mom, Ellie from Minne Merriments, organized and designed the event, creating a “Ruf Ruf Rescue” theme that was nothing short of spectacular.
A Festive Welcome with Lights and Colors
As guests walked up to the pavilion at Como Park, large light-up letters spelling “OLIVER” greeted them, setting a festive tone right from the start. This entrance showcased the meticulous attention to detail that defined the entire celebration.
Vibrant Decor and Playful Settings
At the center of the pavillion, a stunning backdrop with red, white, and blue balloons and floral arrangements created a perfect setting. The tables, dressed in soft blue and white tablecloths and topped with matching floral centerpieces, seamlessly complemented the overall decor.
Refreshments and Treats Galore
The “Extinguish Your Thirst” water station offered refreshing drinks, while a variety of custom sugar cookies and Paw Patrol theme cake pops delighted the little ones. The creativity in these treats made them a hit among the guests.
Fun Birthday Party Activities for All Ages
Outside the pavilion at Como Park, the fun continued with a variety of engaging activities. A soft play area and a bounce castle, adorned with a balloon arch, provided endless entertainment. The lawn featured kid tables set with bone-shaped water bottles and color-themed plates, napkins, and utensils, centered around tiny floral pieces.
The “Adopt a Pup” station, where guests could take home a soft plush animal, and the “Grab Your Gear” station featuring police vests and hats for dress-up, were especially popular. Additionally, cornhole boards and other yard games were available for the adults and older kids, ensuring everyone had something to enjoy.
The Cake: A Sweet Centerpiece
For the cake celebration, a specially designed cart labeled “Pup Treats” displayed cake popsicles and an adorable two-tier cake Paw Patrol theme. This setup was perfect for kids to enjoy a treat at the birthday party.
Capturing Family Moments at Como Park
During the birthday party, I took Ellie, her husband, and Oliver aside to capture some cute family photos. Oliver’s adorable smile was the highlight, clearly showing how much he loved every moment of his party.
