Some wedding days stay with you forever, and Lainey and Travis’s celebration at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN, is one of those unforgettable days. The elegance, lakeside charm, and genuine love shared between everyone made it an exceptional event.

One moment that stood out to me was how everyone handled the hot, humid day with grace and support. Despite the challenging weather, Lainey, Travis, their bridal party, and their families were incredible during portrait time. Their unwavering positivity and willingness to go the extra mile to make the day perfect for Lainey and Travis were truly heartwarming.

The first looks were particularly memorable. Before Lainey and Travis saw each other, Lainey shared a heartfelt moment with her father. She presented him with a special note, and the tears in his eyes spoke volumes. Capturing this intimate exchange was truly moving and set an emotional tone for the rest of the day.

When Lainey and Travis finally saw each other, it was nothing short of magical. Set under a beautiful hanging branch on a light dirt path just outside their ceremony space, the setting framed them perfectly. As they saw each other for the first time, tears streamed down their faces. The depth of their emotions was unmistakable, and they chose to exchange their vows right there, making it one of the most heartfelt moments I’ve ever captured.

Their love for country music was evident in the personal touches they added, such as Travis’s brown cowboy boots and the sound of Morgan Wallen playing while the ladies were getting ready. Lainey, adding an elegant touch to the day, looked absolutely stunning in her gown, complemented by pearl wedding shoes and silver-plated jewelry, while her bouquet of white roses and eucalyptus added a fresh, natural touch to the elegant setting.

The ceremony took place with the picturesque Lake Darling as the backdrop. It was relaxing and beautiful, adding a natural charm to their vows. Lainey and Travis poured their ceremony sand, exchanged rings, and sealed their vows with a kiss, surrounded by the love of their friends and family.

After the ceremony, we moved swiftly to family portraits. Given the weather, I wanted to ensure we captured these moments efficiently, and we chose the same beautiful location as the first look for its perfect lighting. Everyone’s patience and cooperation made it a smooth and enjoyable experience.

The reception inside one of Arrowwood Resort’s elegant halls was filled with heartfelt speeches, laughter, and tears. The head table, surrounded by their closest friends and family, was the focal point of the evening. The matron of honor and best man delivered emotional speeches that had everyone tearing up and laughing in equal measure. The first dances were another highlight, with everyone watching in joyous celebration of Lainey and Travis’s new journey together.

As the evening progressed, we were blessed with a stunning sunset, providing the perfect opportunity for some unforgettable portraits. We explored a beautiful light dirt path and hill on the side of Arrowwood Resort, capturing playful poses and romantic, intimate moments. Their love for each other shone brightly in every shot. A special thanks to Courtney from The Event Paige, whose guidance and assistance throughout the day were invaluable. Her help ensured everything went smoothly, from prepping the groom before the first look to directing us to the perfect sunset portrait location.

Looking back, Lainey and Travis’s wedding at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN, was a day filled with love, joy, and beautiful moments. The elegant theme, the emotional first look, the heartfelt ceremony, and the fun-filled reception all came together to create a truly memorable celebration.
