Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park | Engagement

A couple standing in tall grass during a summer engagement session at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, with the golden hour sunlight filtering through the trees.

Reconnecting with an Old Friend

When I first heard from Amanda, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. We knew each other from high school, and when she and John got engaged, she reached out to me, excited to capture this special time in their lives. I was thrilled to be a part of their journey, especially knowing how much fun we would have during their engagement session at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park.

The Perfect Pair: Amanda and John

Amanda and John are one of those couples who perfectly complement each other. John has a playful, goofy side that keeps Amanda laughing, while Amanda’s relaxed and sweet demeanor brings a calming balance to their relationship. Together, they make an incredible pair, and it was a joy to witness their love during our time together.

A Golden Hour Dream at Coon Rapids Dam

We met up at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park on a beautiful summer evening, and the golden hour light was simply breathtaking. As we explored the park, it felt like every moment was picture-perfect. We started on a light dirt path near the dam, where the tall grass swayed gently in the breeze. Amanda and John shared tender kisses as the sun dipped lower, casting a warm, golden glow behind the tree line.

Riverside Romance

One of my favorite moments was when we found a cozy spot near the riverside. Amanda and John snuggled up on the grass, the water flowing gently nearby, adding a serene backdrop to their intimate connection. It was clear that they were completely in tune with each other, and capturing those quiet, loving moments was truly special.

A Picture-Perfect Finish

As the session continued, we made our way to the dock, where Amanda and John got close and intimate. The sun was beginning to set, creating a stunning reflection on the water. Ducks landed and swam around them, adding a touch of nature’s charm to the scene. It was the perfect way to wrap up their engagement session, with the peaceful atmosphere of the park surrounding them.

Looking Forward to October

I can’t wait to capture more of Amanda and John’s love story when they tie the knot later this year at the Charleston Event Center in White Bear Lake. Their engagement session at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park was filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments that make me fall in love with photography all over again. Congratulations, Amanda and John! I can’t wait to celebrate with you in October.
