This beautiful spring wedding day filled with freshly bloomed foliage took place at the captivating Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandra, Minnesota. I’ve never photographed at this venue before and let me tell you, even though it was windy at times it was a dream come true! Love was in the air all day surrounding this sweet couple. You could feel it when you're with them. You can hear it in the stories that their family members and best friends shared about them. They are high school sweethearts and best friends with a love that built a strong foundation and will age well just like fine wine.

There were many moments throughout Savannah and Ashtyn’s wedding day that I thought to myself, “This is why I love being a wedding photographer!” Between their intimate first look and Savannah surprising Ashtyn with charms of their grandfather's pictures on them, it took everything in me not to tear up myself. As I write this blog post I find myself allowing those tears to finally come through as I remember my grandfather who passed earlier this year. Without a doubt I know that their grandfathers were there in spirit smiling over them the entire day just as I felt my grandfather with me.
