WEDDINGS

JENNA + ADNAN

September 2021

With the events that took place last year Jenna and Adnan made the decision to have a small intimate wedding with close friends and family at the perfect location. Jenna's father owns property off the lake in Grand Rapids and the beauty that surrounds it was a dream! As I headed North for Jenna and Adnan's wedding day I watched the sunrise reflect onto the color changing trees along the highway. It was at that moment I knew their wedding was going to be breathtaking!

Jenna and I know each other through my husband's family, but I think it is safe to say we are both friends and family! When Jenna reached out for engagement and wedding pictures I was so excited to see her again and to meet her fiance Adnan. We photographed their engagement session in the adorable town of Anoka and before I knew it, it was September and the wedding was right around the corner!

Their intimate lakeside wedding was classic, simple, and elegant. The dirt road leading up to the ceremony site was framed with beautiful mature green trees with subtle hints of yellow complimenting their decor. The bouquets and florals were filled with a variety of beautiful red toned flowers accented with big yellow sunflowers. The amount of work put into their wedding was truly amazing, their ceremony site was handcrafted by their family from the large brick platform to the beautiful ceremony archway.

I loved this day because not only did I capture such a fun and loving couple, but it felt like home spending the day with their amazing friends and family. One of my favorite moments of the day was Adnan's father wrapping up a bunch of cake for me to take home to my family and in his words "future baby." No, I am not pregnant, but the comment still makes me smile to this day.

Enjoy my favorite images from their gorgeous day! Thank you to all who helped make Jenna & Adnan's day a huge success!! Jenna and Adnan, congratulations on this special new season of life!

Thank you for reading!

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT KENDRA

At home in nature. Ever-focused on beauty and the thrilling art of creation; found in the moments that leave me breathless and in awe.

If there is one thing you can learning about me is how much I enjoy serving others. My heart is the happiest when I can put a smile on someone's face or help them feel comfortable during their session. After losing my grandfather this past year, I realized he was the person who showed me how to love others. He always shared the biggest smile and had the most welcoming heart towards everyone he met. I got to experience the joy he brought to this world with his love, and that is what I strive to be like as a wife, mother, and business owner.
