Megan and Glen's wedding was planned on a perfect early Minnesota spring day with the warm sunshine peeking through the clouds and no rain or snow in sight. As you walked into the doors of Rockwoods there were signs directing you to their private wooden ceremony and reception room filled with walls of windows and soft green eucalyptus accenting their romantic pink toned florals. It was the perfect room for an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. This was the most important part for Megan and Glen on their wedding day, to be surrounded by their kids and loved ones while they commit themselves to each other and to make memories they will cherish for a lifetime.

I first met Megan and Glen at their engagement session mixed with family portraits with their kids this past fall at Hansen Tree Farm. I remember thinking how beautiful their engagement story was hearing about Glen taking a drive the morning he proposed to ask Megan's father for her hand then needing to take a shower to compose himself before kneeling down on one knee as Megan was working on painting their new home. It was a moment where time stood still and the only sound left after paint rolling on the walls were the words "Megan, will you marry me?" It's one of those moments you can easily picture as if it was straight out of a movie. 

My favorite part of the day is how they included their faith in their ceremony with a beautiful cord of three strands braiding, symbolizes the joining of one man, one woman, and God into a marriage relationship, and watching the entire room putting their hands up praying over them. I still have chills just thinking about the holy spirit moving in that moment and the heavens rejoicing over their love. I also have to give a big shout out to their hilarious and fun officiant, Pastor Louie, as he brought such a memorable experience to their ceremony!

Megan and Glen, what an honor it was to be the one capturing your day. Despite the wind and cold during your portraits outside, it was PERFECT! Your energy, your joy, your strong family bonds, your dancing skills…. It made for the most amazing wedding day! With a full heart I want you both to know how grateful I am to have been part of this season in your life and I love you and your families dearly!
