With the rustic charm of Almquist Farm, this autumn theme wedding complimented the warm wood tones of the farm by incorporating pops of maroon and adorable white pumpkins. Between the friendly goats, white fences, stunning outdoor ceremony location, and their historic 100-year-old granary, I was in photographer heaven!
It has been a treat getting to know Nick and Darcy over the past year! We’ve had a few meetings to discuss their Almquist Farm wedding details, but we secretly enjoyed watching our two toddlers play together. Harper, their daughter, is one of the most adorable little girls I have ever met! Her beautiful blue eyes and blonde curly hair completely melt your heart. Their wedding day at was beautiful as the weather was incredible, the sunlight was perfect, and the energy was excellent but most importantly. Watching these two start their life together as a family of three was inspiring! Nick tearing up when he saw Darcy, not just once but twice was the highlight of the entire day. How could you blame him? Darcy is a gorgeous bride! She was stunning in her Wild Rose wedding dress!
When there weren’t tears of joy, there were plenty of moments of laughter from their outgoing bridal parties. I will never forget their intense game of tippy cup for their grand march, spoiler alert the guys won. The reception party was brought to life by Diamond MC who catered the first part of the dance party to the children with fun interactive songs. Meatheads Catering, a caterer who works with Almquist Farm often, stole the show with their delicious buffet dinner.
As the evening wound down, a gorgeous sunset painted the sky outside the wedding barn, revealing the stunning backdrop of 70 acres of Minnesota nature. Nick and Darcy took a moment for themselves, enjoying sweet kisses as newlyweds. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful Almquist Farm wedding.
