I had an absolute dream come true capturing Tyler and Derek’s special day at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. The day began with an emotional first look between Tyler and Derek in the serene Japanese Garden. As Derek turned around to see Tyler in her stunning wedding dress, tears flowed freely, along with laughter and joy. Despite the possibility of rain, the weather held off, allowing us to capture beautiful portraits of them in this enchanting garden.
Afterwards, we ventured outside the Como Zoo Park to capture bridal party portraits with Tyler and Derek’s two closest friends. The vibrant orange and purple tones of their wedding theme popped against the lush greenery.
The intimacy of their ceremony in the Sunken Garden was truly touching. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Tyler and Derek exchanged vows on the main platform in the garden. They promising forever to one another in a setting that felt like something out of a fairytale.
The reception, held at the Ordway Garden, provided a warm and intimate space for dinner and drinks. Laughter filled the air as Tyler’s younger sisters regaled the guests with hilarious stories, keeping everyone entertained throughout the evening.
As I reflect on their wedding day, gratitude fills me for capturing such precious moments. Tyler and Derek’s love for each other and their families was touching to witness. It was an honor to witness and document their journey into marriage.
